ReconSilo product tour

With ReconSilo, completing your reconciliation is easier and faster than ever before. It all happens in four simple steps:

  1. Gather your data
  2. Match records automatically
  3. Review and fine-tune your matches
  4. Run reports and follow up

Here's a look at each step in more detail:

Importing data to ReconSilo

Importing Data

Simply open a reconciliation and drag and drop your data straight onto it.

ReconSilo's Zero-Configuration technology means there's no need to map your source data to a different structure before importing. It simply uses what you've got with no fuss.

Data Sources

Drag and drop or paste data to ReconSilo from either Excel spreadsheets or CSV data files.

Reconciling Values

If you're reconciling transactions with values, click the column that contains the reconciling value to mark it as the Primary Value column for the table.

Match records automatically

Get to the bottom or any reconciliation, fast, by finding matches automatically. ReconSilo's matching engine is:

  • Flexible - easily configurable to match almost any data in almost any way
  • Powerful - handle up to 1 million records per table
  • Fast - with perhaps the fastest matching engine in the world, ReconSilo can match up to 19,000 records per minute.

Matching rules

In ReconSilo, you determine how records are matched by setting up matching rules. The Visual Rule Editor makes this drag-and-drop easy, requiring just two steps:

  1. Matching rule filtering and grouping

Set filters and groupings to target the records that your rule should try to match.

Group rows together to match records one-to-many or many-to-many.

  2. Matching rule field join

Drag and drop fields between the rows to define how the records should be matched.

Fine tune if necessary using match parameters, such as the tolerance for matching values.

As you build your rule, the Visual Rule Editor gives immediate feedback so you can see whether it's set up correctly before you run it.

Review and edit

After auto-matching you'll want to see what's left unmatched. Switch to the Edit workspace to quickly view matched, not-matched or all records in both tables.

Manually edit matches in ReconSilo

If some of your table records don't contain enough information to support automatic matching, you can complete the reconciliation by creating matches manually.

You can review matches one-by-one, manually create new matches, and undo/redo matches 'til your reconciliation is complete.

Report and follow-up

Create reports from your reconciliation and view them on-screen, or send to Excel, to a PDF document or to your printer.

The Report Selector provides a natural-language way to select the records you want to include.

Status review and audit

ReconSilo maintains a full history of actions taken, serving both as an indicator of reconciliation process status and as an audit trail for proper control and auditability.

A fast-filter box is provided so you can easily home in on precisely the activity history you want to see.

ReconSilo table status

The Status workspace displays summary information for your reconciliation and provides space for adding notes.

You can edit the name of the reconciliation and the names of both reconciliation tables, which are used throughout the application.
